Atinut Galawig’s micro teaching

Atinut started the lesson by greeting students and stimulated  the situation  by  asking  students  to  look  under  their  table  (There are garbage.and  ask them  what should  they  do  with  these  garbage?  After that , she shown three  kinds  of  bins  and  bring  out  of  the  garbage  and  teach  the  students  a  vocabulary  about  them.  For example, waste tire, waste can, waste glass, waste paper etc. In Task Cycle, She divided  students  in  to  groups  and  then  ask  them  to  come  out  and  play  game
" Where  should  I  go ? ". This  game  one  of  the  student  have  to  be  close  his  eyes  and  each  students  in  their  group  have  to  run  to  get  a  garbage  and  bring  it  back  to  the  blinded  students.  After  that  he  have  to  ask  "Is  this a / an .......... ?" If  his  answer  correct  he  has  to  put  that  garbage  in  the  correct  bin  also.  From  this  point  the  students  is  going  to  have  fun   and  also  learn  how  to  ask  and give information  with  their  friends.
Moreover ,  they  are  going  to  learn  how  to  divide  the  garbage  in  each  kinds  of  bin. In the final part, she explained the grammar point. The Interrogative sentence of Present Perfect Tense, how to use and give example according the handout
Let’s talk about her Instructional Medias, She used appropriate authentic materials .It was very interesting. The skills that she wanted to focus for this lesson were listening and speaking. she used the classroom language to checking the students understand before doing any tasks. My suggestions, She has to walk around classroom and try to observe students in class.

Flipped Classroom (Inverting your class)

Flipping the classroom, or ‘inverted teaching’ is a response to the idea that class time can be used to engage students in learning through active learning techniques, rather than through delivering lectures alone. Flipping the classroom is the process of replacing traditional lectures with more student-centered learning strategies, such as active learning, discussions, problem-based learning, and other forms of group work and peer instruction. Content delivery is moved outside of the classroom, for example, through videos, or pre-class readings.
The Flipped Classroom Model basically involves encouraging students to prepare for the lesson before class. Thus, the class becomes a dynamic environment in which students elaborate on what they have already studied. Students prepare a topic at home so that the class the next day can be devoted to answering any questions they have about the topic. This allows students to go beyond their normal boundaries and explore their natural curiosity.

Exam Time’s free online learning tools can be integrated into the Flipped Classroom teaching model. Using Exam Time, you can easily share resources with a group, in this case a class, allowing students to study these resources from home and prepare for the next class.

Rice farmers seek B10,000 a tonne

Rice farmers will ask for 10,000 baht for a tonne for paddy, a level they find profitable, while a survey shows the farm sector is facing an acute labour shortage.
Representatives of five farmers' groups will meet with a Commerce Ministry panel on Friday to discuss rice problems. "These prices are appropriate as they allow us to earn some profits," Rawee Rungruang,Chairman of the Thai Farmers Network, told Thairath Online early on Friday.

Since the government's farm policy involving zoning, farm-essentials cost reduction and productivity upgrade takes time to materialise, the farmers are looking for a short-term relief for the current crop season. The farming cost is now 5,000 baht on average for one rai, which yields 750kg, so they need to farm on three rai to get two tonnes. Since paddy now fetches 8,000 baht a tonne, the farmers get 16,000 baht for three rai, or a little over 300 baht a rai, which is inadequate, Mr Rawee said. And if the grain has too much moisture, the prices will be even lower, he added. For the upcoming season, the Commerce Ministry plans to help by organising paddy markets, asking millers to pay 100-200 baht above market prices to build stocks while giving them a special interest rate as compensation and encouraging farmers to build their own stocks to avoid concurrent post-harvest sales which put pressure on the prices.

Poomsak Rasri, director of the Agricultural Economic Operation Centre under the Office of Agricultural Economics, said there were 16 million farm workers in Thailand. He estimated a 3% annual increase in the sector's labour pool, or half a million a year, was reasonable.
Migrant workers alone could not meet the shortfall as they prefer the industrial sector.
He proposed solutions such as streamlining labour laws to accommodate migrant workers, opening more one-stop service centres for migrant workers' registration, providing more welfare and incentives and bringing in migrant workers from other countries.

9 ( Learning English outside the classroom)

                                         Why do we communicate?

Communication is all about swapping information. If we didn’t share our discoveries, we would have to learn everything from scratch. We’d have no way of knowing that fire burns, for example, until we’d been hurt. And there be no such thing as a favorite book. Most of all, sharing our feeling with other people makes life more enjoyable because we can have friends.
When we’re with someone, they use their voice and even their body language to communicate with us. When someone is a long way away, they can get in touch on the telephone or send us a letter.
